Arrive on time , quietly and ready to practice! Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to your schedule class or appointments times, as we have an open concept studio and the door will be locked.
We are a small, private boutigue studio. In order to prepare for our carefully curated classes, 24 HOUR pre-registration is required for all classes, and payment and completion of our waiver must be completed by all students prior to your arrival at our studio. Should there not be two or more students registered for a class, we reserve the right to cancel the class. Students will be notified the evening before should a class be canceled.
If the door is locked, please do not knock, we will open back up when the current class is completed.
We only except exact change for our special drop-in cash offers and do not accept or hold any cash on-site for the safety of our staff.
Classes start promptly at their scheduled time and late arrivals can not be accommodated.
Our classes start and end promptly on time, and if you are unable to stay for the duration, please choose a different class time.
"Tapas" (तपस्)., the Sanskrit word for self-discipline, is one of the five Niyamas, or personal practices, of yoga. At balance. we cultivate this practice through being on time, observing quiet and respecting each other's space by adhereing to the policies of our studio..
Cancellations & Waitlist
You may always join our waitlists after becoming a paid, registered class pass student or member of balance.
Members receive early bird registration up to 7 days, wirh space as available for single and mulitple class passes up to 3 days before class.
As class sizes are limited, you may cancel your class up to 24 hours before class starts. Afterwards, you will be charged one class on your pass or a $12 no show fee on your membership.
Waitlisted students will be notified no less than 12 hours before class. If you change your mind about attending once joining the waitlist, please cancel or you will be charged $12 as a no show.
Phones & Cameras
Our space is sacred and peaceful. The use of phones, tech watches, notebooks, laptops and cameras are not allowed in our lobby, practice, bathrooms or dressings area. All ringers and other notifications must be turned off at all times in our studio.
We prohibit the filming of yourself or other students at anytime in our studio to support our intention of mindfulness. Step away from influencing and into the experience.
We will always respect your privacy and ask your permission before utilizing your image at any time. We do reserve the right to record and live stream certain classes, and will give you ample notice when this is going to happen!
In General...
balance. is special, safe and sacred space. We are fastidious about curating the best experience for our students. This includes cultivating an environment that is as welcoming, quiet, peaceful and as unobtrusive as possible.
Please adhere to body cleanliness before class and refrain from the use of fragrances, in accordance with yogic principles, or "saucha" (शौच,) We host students with illness and other sensitvities who can not tolerate excessive body odor and/or perfumes.
Gossip or negative talk about others students, teachers , other studios, etc., is discouraged. We foster a diverse, equal and inclusive community. Speech or actions not in alignment with this mission will not be tolerated. We do this in support of what we believe is the foundation of all yoga practice, Ahimsa, (अहिंसा) ~ non-violence in thought, word and actions. We mean it. ONE LOVE. BIG LOVE. ALWAYS.
